Call for Applications – Tech4pride Community manager

Deadline: 05 January 2026

Tech4Pride equips young LGBTQI+ people with the practical tech skills, confidence, and community connections they need to thrive in the digital economy. This Initiative serves as an economic empowerment pathway — supporting queer youth to build sustainable livelihoods, increase their earning potential, and access opportunities within Africa’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem.

Through our structured learning cohorts, participants gain foundational digital skills; from coding and design to digital marketing, data literacy, and essential online tools. These cohorts act as spaces where queer young people build networks, receive mentorship, and support each other to enter and grow within the tech industry.

Beyond training, Tech4Pride is cultivating a regional community of queer people in tech committed to mutual support, innovation, and collective advancement. We host meet-ups, discussions, and tech-focused events that centre LGBTQI+ economic empowerment and open doors to employment, freelancing, entrepreneurship, and higher-paying digital careers.

We believe that the diversity of people who use technology must be reflected in the diversity of those who build it. By expanding queer representation in tech, Tech4Pride is contributing to a future where LGBTQI+ people can shape digital spaces, transform narratives, and participate fully and safely in economic life.
