About AMPLIFY Girls
AMPLIFY Girls is a network of 40 community-driven organizations (CDOs) in Africa committed to building agency in adolescent girls. We envision a world where agency and opportunity are granted to every girl and resources and respect are given to the community-driven organizations that support them. We do this by supporting the growth of organizations through intentional collaboration and learning; advocating for the inclusion of community-driven organizations in global decision-making spaces; and developing cutting-edge research that enables us to understand, measure, and maximize girls’ agency.

Responsibilities
Cultivating Development Opportunities for Partners
● Conduct desk research to identify new funding opportunities and networks that may be shared or leveraged to increase the flow of resources to AG partner organizations.
● Develop and manage a database of contacts, calls for proposals, awards, and funding avenues relevant for fundraising by AG partner organizations.
● Act as a project manager for identified joint funding opportunities and multi-organizational grants pursued collaboratively by AG partners.

Partner Advising, Training, and Mentorship
● Work one on one in a mentoring capacity with partners to understand their fundraising needs and strategies and develop strategic recommendations that may lead to increased direct funding.
● Lead, periodically, training and workshops for AG partners that enhance their fundraising skills and understanding of effective fundraising principles.
● Work with the Director of Partner Learning and the Network Director to maintain healthy and active relationships with AMPLIFY Girls partners, assessing their resource mobilization needs and implementing strategies to support their growth.
External Relations
● Represent AG and advocate for partner organizations at conferences and events where funders are present, as needed.
● Undertake special projects, as requested (eg, supporting unique co-funding collaborations that arise periodically, contributing to strategic planning exercises, participating in internal
 working groups focused on staff wellbeing, attending industry convenings in-person or virtually, etc.)

Core Competencies and Experience Required
● Exemplary written and verbal communication 
● Absolutely stellar networking skills and relationship management ability 
● Strong project management skills, especially in joint grant writing projects 
● Skilled teacher and mentor of fundraising strategies and planning 
● Deep understanding of global philanthropic spaces www.amplifygirls.org 
● Familiarity with a wide variety of funders and funding opportunities including both existing actors in the space and a broader understanding of types of funding available 
● 3-5 years of experience as a direct fundraiser 
● Experience working with community organizations in Africa is a major plus 
● Willingness and ability to bring existing connections and relationships with funders to the role is a major plus
