Role Overview
TechPride Alliance is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Finance Officer (Volunteer) to support our mission by managing and maintaining the financial health and transparency of the organization. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about contributing their skills to create a more inclusive and empowered world.
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Management: Manage day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, financial reporting, and record-keeping.
- Budget Preparation: Work with the Executive Director and program leads to prepare and monitor budgets for various projects and initiatives.
- Compliance: Ensure all financial activities comply with nonprofit financial regulations and internal policies.
- Grant Reporting: Assist in preparing financial reports for grants and funding partners, ensuring compliance with funding requirements.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor expenditures and provide timely updates to the leadership team on financial status.
- Payroll Support: Oversee the management of volunteer stipends or reimbursements (if applicable).
- Audit Support: Assist in preparing for audits and maintaining accurate financial documentation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field (students and retirees are also encouraged to apply).
- Proficiency in financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Understanding of nonprofit financial regulations and practices is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.

- Availability to dedicate a minimum of 10-15 hours per week (flexible schedule).
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Prior experience in nonprofit financial management.
- Familiarity with grant management and reporting.
