Deadline: 22 September 2025, 5:00 p.m. EAT.

Feminists in Kenya (FIK) is a grassroots feminist organization founded in 2019 that mobilizes women in all their diversities in the pursuit of gender justice. As conveners of the #TotalShutDownKE nationwide marches against femicide, we are steadfast in our commitment to ending all forms of violence against women, sexual and gender minorities, and other structurally silenced groups. Our work also advances digital rights, reclaims sexual and reproductive health and rights, and uses feminist popular education as a key tool for justice and liberation. Grounded in African feminist traditions of Community, Joy, and Resistance, we are dedicated to transforming everyday silences into language and channeling that language into collective, and transformative feminist action.

The Feminist Programs Lead will provide dynamic feminist leadership to oversee, implement, and expand key FIK projects, including the Feminist Magazine, the Transformative Justice Institute, and other community-centered initiatives. This is a programmatic position requiring initiative, vision, and political grounding. The Programs Lead will be responsible for ensuring that projects are proactively conceptualized and implemented with clarity, creativity, and rigor, while holding feminist values of care, intersectionality, justice, and solidarity. They will also bring a strategic vision to think ahead about project needs, opportunities, and risks, ensuring alignment with broader movement goals.
