You’ll lead Obodo’s creative vision and cultural programming, shaping innovative content and experiences that amplify advocacy, strengthen community identity, and engage diverse audiences. We want someone who can push boundaries, think outside the box, and use creativity as a tool to advance LGBTQ+ and feminist rights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cultural Programming: Conceptualise and manage cultural initiatives, exhibitions, and creative projects that reflect and celebrate LGBTQ+ and feminist identities.
- Community Engagement: Collaborate with programmes to integrate cultural expression into projects, fostering community ownership and pride.
- Project Leadership: Manage the full lifecycle of creative and cultural projects – from ideation to delivery – while meeting deadlines and quality standards.
- Research & Innovation: Stay updated on cultural trends, advocacy storytelling methods, and creative tools to keep Obodo’s work relevant and impactful.
- Representation: Prepare creative pitches, presentations, and visual storytelling materials for stakeholders, funders, and public events.
- Documentation & Archiving: Build and maintain a creative and cultural library that preserves and showcases Obodo’s outputs.
- Strategic Collaboration: Work with programmes and communications teams to integrate creative and cultural approaches into strategies.
- Content Production: Design and produce high-quality visual, written, and multimedia content for digital, print, and community platforms.
- Narrative Shaping: Use art, design, and cultural expression to shift public perception, dismantle harmful stereotypes, and amplify LGBTQ+ and feminist voices.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Evidence of previous work experience in creative direction, cultural programming, and content production.
- Proven ability to manage creative projects and deliver innovative campaigns.
- Proficiency in design and creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, Figma, or equivalent).
- Strong creative writing and curatorial skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms, digital storytelling, and audience engagement.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Deep commitment to human rights, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and feminist values.
