Deadline: 20th January 2020
About this project:
The Bridging the Gaps Alliance (BtG) is a partnership focusing on the health and human rights of key populations: sex workers, people who use drugs and lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people. Bridging the Gaps works towards a world where sex workers, people who use drugs and LGBT people can enjoy their human rights and access quality HIV prevention, treatment and care, contributing to the end of AIDS among key populations.
The BtG Alliance would like to increase demand for and uptake of SRHR/HIV services by young key populations. They have a new project called ‘Young, Wild… and Free’ (YWF), through which they would like to scale up good practices in reaching and engaging young key populations in four countries: Kenya, Russia, South Africa, and Vietnam.
One of the activities in the YWF project is a network-building event in Amsterdam from 9 – 11 March 2020 where they hope a phenomenal group of young leaders will come together to learn from each other about what it takes to build a network and to scale-up innovations that have been tried and tested by youth organizations in different context.
What they are looking for:
We are seeking young inspiring leaders who are curious, want to learn, want to share and will proactively apply their learnings in their youth organizations to join our network-building event!
- Young people who identify as living with HIV, sex workers or selling sex, people who use drugs and/or as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender
- Working or volunteering in youth or key population organization/network
- Available and able to travel to join a networking event from 9-11 March 2020 in Amsterdam
Please complete the following form so they can learn more about you and what you hope to get out of the event. Send it to email@example.com by 20 January 2020.
